In Isaiah 65:17-25 Isaiah gloriously describes the New Heavens and the New Earth. God will reestablish fellowship with his people. There will be unending joy. The curse will be undone. Everything will be turned to blessing. Such is the glorious end for all those who trust in Christ.

The Christian life is about doctrine and life, what we believe and what we do. In Philippians 4:8-9 Paul exhorts the Philippians to set their minds on the excellent things of the gospel and to live this out in their lives.

Christ's work as priest is not limited to his sacrifice on the cross. He continues to serve as priest having been raised from the dead. He is the priest forever after the order of Melchizedek and pleads the merits of his blood on behalf of his people.

Jesus is our great High Priest, through whom the way has been opened to God. How was this way opened? Through his death. Christ is both the priest and the sacrifice whereby we are cleansed from our sins and enabled to approach God without fear.

In Philippians 3:12-16 Paul exhorts the Philippians to strive for more in the Christian life. It can be so easy to be complacent in the Christian life, but Paul teaches us the Christian life is one that is always to be filled with striving for more.
