The totality of Christ's life was a gesture to God's Kingdom, and in that kingdom, sex and the sacred met. Our Christly gestures are the integrity of each of us being who God made us to be.

A shapely bride, the church is a bringing together of opposites into relationship stability and motion, substance, and spirit, the sufferings and splendor of life. This is the source of creativity, whence all innovation and generativity come.

Humor is the best evidence that the brain is functioning at full throttle. Jesus used humor to sharpen the dull edges and tangled angles of theology. The paradox of a life of living and dying is to laugh about it.

Grow a Back-bone! It takes courage to reach high and bend low with confidence and humility. Back-bones require the initiative, integrity, and industry to lose the wraps that bind people up and tie people down in life.

A full-pack ripped-abs church is a body of Christ that exercises the muscle groups. The core muscles of virtues are strengthened with Jesus by dropping down and washing feet.

To show some skin is to reveal that you are comfortable in your skin. You have skin in the game that tells everything warts, scars, and all—a graceful and authentic skin, filled with and true to the Jesus style.
