जब अर्जुन वनवास गए थे , युधिष्ठिर ने बहुत अच्छी तरह से अपने राज्य को संभाला था, आस पास के छोटे छोटे राजाओं को भी वो संभालते थे की बड़े राजा उनपर आक्रमण न कर सकें और बड़े राजाओं को भी वो चेतावनी देते थे कि वे छोटे राज्यों पर आक्रमण न करें।

One day Sage Narad came to Indraprasth to meet Yudhishthir and his brothers and told them this story.

एक दिन नारद मुनि इंद्रप्रस्थ पहुचे। पांचों भाइयों ने उनका खूब सत्कार किया और प्यार और आदर से खाना खिलाया। तब नारद मुनि ने उन्हे एक कहानी सुनाई ।

Princess Draupadi was getting married. All the kings and princes who wanted to marry her, came to participate in the event. There was a condition that inside a round transparent box, one golden fish was revolving, whoever will shoot the eye of the fish, will be able to marry Draupadi. This box was hanging from the ceiling. It was a very challenging task.

When Pandavas came out of underpass with their mother, they reached a jungle. Jungle was not safe as there lived a big monster called Hidimb with his sister Hidimba.

वरणावत के महल के सुरंग से निकल कर पांडव अपनी मां के साथ जंगल मे पहुच गए। उस जंगल मे एक राक्षस हिडिंब और उसकी बहन हिडिंबा रहते थे ।

Princes have grown up now and have learned all that Guru Dronacharya could teach them. It was time to pay him Guru Dakshina. He asked the princes to go and get king Drupad with his hands tied. Yudhishthir and his brothers went with army and got back king Drupad with his hands tied.

द्रोणाचार्य जी ने गुरु दक्षिण मे अपने शिष्यों से राजा द्रुपद को बंदी बनाकर लाने कहा । भीष्म की सलाह से युधिष्ठिर अपने भाइयों और सेना के साथ जाकर राजा द्रुपद को बंदी बना लाये।

एक बार सभी पांडव और कौरव राजकुमार गेंद खेल रहे थे । गेंद कपड़े का बना हुआ था। खेलते खेलते गेंद कुआं मे जा गिरा । बच्चों को समझ मे नहीं आ रहा था कि कैसे निकाला जाए। इतने मे वहाँ से एक ब्राह्मण जा रहे थे । वे रुककर बच्चों से पूछने लगे कि क्या हुआ।
