This poem is about the importance of support at anytime.

As the first poem of Season 2, Changes brings awareness and brings thoughts and even questions the change.

In this final poem of the season, Product of Tomorrow shapes hope and an act of awareness for a better tomorrow than the present today.

This poem focuses on the meaning of one's identity and the impact behind it.

This poem brings a scope of language communication while providing awareness.

This poem defines the meaning of a friend, and the importance of a friendship.

This poem teaches to accept saying no for the better. By doing so, it creates awareness in one's self.

This poem presents the importance acknowledgement to women and their presence.

This poem tells a story about the impact of a known stranger to someone and the random acts of the impact.

This poem takes on an image as well having flashback reflective moments of what occured in the past.

This poem focuses on the current traumas impacting the United States.

This poem expresses and acknowledges the problems that is faced by the United States of America. Often times, one is wanting to live and to enjoy The American Dream, but its not the case.

This poem crafts the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. It also paints a picture of the weather that occurs.

This poem is focused on hope and the power behind that hope.

This poem brings the idea of hope despite struggles that are brought to one's attention. By hard work that is being placed, one can become a champion.

This poem provides a focus on the need of hope within the world. It brings a focus on the current circumstances but also constant and transparent thoughts that one may keep asking during these times.

In September 2018, I had the chance to complete my internship at Monroe High School. With the students that I worked with, many of them were already beginning to think and make choices that they did not know. This poem serves as a transparent truth that its okay to not know right at the moment. 

Unheard Voices is based on the importance of listening to everyone and the problems that are occurring at this moment in a global level.  This also focuses on the empowerment of speaking up and that by listening, change can occur. 

Grow explores the idea of self-development within yourself. This can also provide a sense of reflection and the progress that can be made. The piece is crafted with imagery and that can be easy to relate.

In September 2019, I went to Belize for my Bilingual Education minor practicum. I spent about two weeks in the city of San Ignacio with 14 other students including my professor. Based on my experiences during my time at Belize, the piece is crafted with powerful imagery.
