My Morning Thought

Look back over your life and I'm sure you will be able to see how God has brought you and protected you. If you can't see how awesome God is, just in the painting of the sky, the holding back of the water at its shores, and the fact that He woke you up this morning, look deeper. The hasty remark because of how you felt? Was it worth the fallout?

If you know Jesus as your LORD and Savior, then your hope is built on spending eternity with Him. And better is one day in His house than 1,000 elsewhere. So, know that you'll get through your hard days and it will be better and even on your best days, there is better.

To be filled with the Holy Spirit and God's Word, lessens your appetite for the world, but to walk around hungry, many things look good. Even things that are bad for you.

You can choose to trade the sorrow and anxiety for the joy and peace of the LORD. Will you? I'm Trading My Sorrows

We all have choices, even when we can't see them. What will you choose? Will you choose selfish desires or living peaceably? Will you be open to reason?

Longsuffering could be seen as the opposite to short-tempered. We show longsuffering by our restraint when stirred to anger. God shows His longsuffering by being patient with us and giving us time to repent.

Jesus paid the price for my sin. I think of Simon who was compelled to carry Jesus' cross part of the way. If it were I, would I have felt compelled or counted it a pleasure? How do you see your hardships?

Why worry? God has you. He feeds the birds and clothes the grass of the field. Are you not of much more value? O ye of little faith.

How do you handle correction? How do you give it? I think it is a sign of maturity. To receive the truth with a sense of understanding and present it to God for His revelation in your life. Or do you, in response point out all the things they are doing wrong as well?

If Jesus is the center of my life, then everything should revolved around Him. You should see Jesus in everything I say and do. That's how I want to live because I want the world to see Jesus, not me. I want the world to love the LORD. Link to Jesus at the Center by Israel Houghton

My Hypothesis: If I express gratitude every time I want or am anxious about something, I will want less. I believe gratitude puts things in perspective and it's the antidote for anxiety.

Who's first in your life? Where do you give your time? Is God your first choice or your last resort? Funny Abbot and Costello skit.

Not to the left or right, looking at what others have or what they are doing. Remember to look up to God and out towards the path he has laid for you.

Trust God's Word. It is enough.

A 3-legged race can only be won when someone leads and the other follows. So you must know the destination and be willing to lead and follow. You have to work as one. The Holy Spirit and the carnal man move in different directions but are tied together. Allow the Spirit to lead. Work as one.

Diamonds are formed under greater pressure and heat. We too have our life pressures, but in those moments, we too can be made into a strong, valuable vessel for God.

Do you stand on truth? It changes how you see the world.

Sometimes you just have to be quiet and listen.

Microwave Pizza. It's not bad, but there is better. Jesus came to give you life and life more abundantly. Don't choose the microwave pizza.

Do you trust God with all your heart? What about when times are hard? Do you still trust Him with all your heart?

The Lord will return and judge all the world. Are you rejoicing or does that make you feel uneasy?

He's not just there for the big things in your life. God has you, in every situation.
