MusicBasics4Keyboard
Greetings from North America. In 1990 I graduated from a small college in New Jersey with a music program where I majored in piano, attended concerts in NYC, and watched my first opera with Luciano Pavarotti. As a keyboard instructor today and big fan of popular music including light opera, I encourage you to watch We Are Family Wednesday nights to hear the exquisite harmonies coming from the stage. Two episodes brought me back to my roots growing up in the 1960s singing along to girl groups like The Supremes. The beat goes on. I love Cher's music. Read my book "Songbird at the Shopping Mall".

Tangled up in Blue 06.09.2021 3:08
There was music in the cafes at night, and revolution in the air. She had to sell everything she owned, and froze up inside. And when finally the bottom fell out, I became withdrawn. The only thing I knew how to do, was keep on keepin' on, like a bird that flew. Tangled up in blue. Bob Dylan 1976 Ram's Horn Music. D major. Thanks for listening.

Friendship and Maple Syrup 03.09.2021 4:27
Some years ago, a dear friend gifted me with a one-quart container of pure Vermont maple syrup. I explained I was not a big fan because it was too sweet for my taste. I may have kept the conversation short trying to keep her feelings from getting hurt. I had not even open it. Some years later, I opened it. To my delight, this Vermont Grade A Medium Amber syrup was DELICIOUS! Upon her suggest...

Social Distancing in the Meat Dept. 02.09.2021 3:09
There we were face to face with no masks talking about roast beef like two buds without a care in the world. Didn't even occur to me to raise my mask as I showed him a picture of the meat I was looking for on my cellphone. At that moment, we were less than one foot apart. He found it and we parted with a smile. Hope that virus was nowhere in sight. If I do contract the virus, you'll know I died a...

How to Mend a Broken Heart 30.08.2021 0:58
Grieving over loss is a state of mind. If you are grieving today, you are not alone. God loves you and wants you to be happy. The Word of God comes in a book with many chapters about relief from despair and loss. It is about healing troubled minds and living a life of peace and assurance. It is not a psychology book. If you own a Bible, start reading. Even when depression and other disorders are p...
Stretching helps to relieve back pain 30.08.2021 3:57
Thank you for listening to this episode about the method I use to alleviate lower back pain that doesn't require exercise equipment or a chiropractor. This method can be done at home without the help of anyone. However, I would keep a phone nearby to call for help in case you can't get up. It works as long as your back muscles are strong. If not, I recommend stretching exercises in a heavy comfort...

Too Close for Comfort on Smartphones 29.08.2021 3:12
Are you listening? It's the sound of a new text message or ring tone on the iPad or smartphone while multitasking throughout the day and night. These devices have many advantages, but can also bring bad news. When the news is good, we are happy. When it isn't, we wonder what happened? Is this turn of events simply a minor distraction or my fault in some way. It might also be meant to set new guide...
Married to a Mensa 29.08.2021 2:14
When love is real but doesn't seem to last, we "gird our loins" and get on with our lives - or perish. "Gird your loins" is a line from the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci. The subtitle is Hell on Heels. Some years ago I wrote a screenplay and entered it in the 7th Annual International Screenplay Competition organized by the American Screenwriters A...
