Athens was the epicenter of Greek life so Paul now demonstrates for us how to engage people who don’t have the same background as the Jewish crowd. Rather than a temple, he goes to the marketplace and rather than the Torah, he starts with their Greek philosophers. The Greeks needed to know Jesus is King.

Antioch was the place where followers of the king were first called Christians. This was a place where Jews and Gentiles were unified by Jesus and a culture of equipping, generosity, and sending took shape. Antioch showcases the compelling nature of the Kingdom.

The most famous church planter and missionary in the faith was once a persecutor of the faith. God has a track record of taking dysfunctional people to places of influence. All of us are just one encounter with Jesus away from having our stories forever changed.

Rejection isn’t a detour—it’s often a signpost that you’re on the right road. In this message from Acts 7, we explore Stephen’s bold witness, the cost of following Jesus, and why true freedom is worth it even when it leads to suffering. This is an invitation to live with conviction, courage, and hope.

Conflict hits the church in Acts 6 as a group of widows is being neglected in the distribution of daily food. We need reminders, that conflict and offense are unavoidable topics when people get in the same room. This passage will highlight for us the importance of leadership, service, and care that needs to be present within a church body.

The new temple of Jesus (followers filled with the Holy Spirit) is held up in comparison to the Jerusalem temple. The temple was supposed to be a place where heaven and earth met and a place that embodied the presence of God through generosity and healing. However, now under the reign of Jesus, we see the temple isn’t the physical location but the people of Jesus filled with is spirit.

Acts 2:41-47 speaks to the culture of the Church that is birthed from the start. While these early days aren’t meant to be over-romanticized, this is a vision of what happens when God’s people live yielded to his Spirit! The Church lives sent to demonstrate the district, Jesus way of life.

Peter stands on the day of Pentecost and proclaims a message that has anchored the Church for the last 2,000 years. He invites the audience that day to examine the story of the world and the story of their lives. God sent Jesus to pay our sin debt, to defeat death, and to bring us back into his presence. It’s a message that calls us to respond and acknowledge that Jesus is King.

Today we’ll study Acts 2:1-21 and examine the day the Church was born during the festival called Pentecost. Gathered are a people who have been scattered across the world who will now be unified around the risen Jesus and filled with his Spirit.

We’ll dive in to Acts chapter 1 to examine the final words of Jesus and the implications of his ascension. Jesus promises to send his spirit to fill his people so that they can bear witness to the ends of the world.

We stand in victory with the resurrected King Jesus and yet we wait for his final return. What do we do until then? The writer of Hebrews commissions the church to “run with endurance”.

This Easter we conclude our I AM series by examining the astounding claim Jesus makes to a grieving family. In a moment, their past, present, and future realities gain clarity as Jesus does the unimaginable. Would you chose to believe yourself that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.

A branch that isn’t connected to a vine won’t bear fruit. In today’s I AM statement, Jesus will teach his disciples that they must abide in Him if they wish to bear the fruit of Love.

As Jesus sits down with his disciples in his final hours, he brings to them the terms of the marriage covenant: You must believe that I am the way to the father, I am the transcendent truth, and I am the only way to life. Our response to these terms determines the rest of our lives.

All of us are being led somewhere, the question is, which voice are we allowing to lead us? With this claim in John 10, Jesus will declare: the only way to the abundant life is if you follow me because I AM the Good Shepherd.

Light is essential for our sight, our safety, and our survival. The claim Jesus makes in John 8 is that if you want see in a way that leads to the good life, you have to come to him.

Every human goes through life looking to find soul level satisfaction. While many options promise life, there is only one permanent place of healing: The one who claims to be the bread of life.

I AM is the self proclaimed name God gives himself to assure his people of his faithfulness. The gospel of John exists to show us that I AM has come down to dwell among his creation, but before the crowd is introduced to the I AM, we meet a man who can't wait to tell us who he's NOT.

We conclude our series on prayer by examining the prayer language that undergirds all of our prayer life: Praise. God’s love has invaded our lives in more ways than we can count, so we respond in worship

Jesus taught his disciples to talk to God about their sin. The propensity to hide and cover has been a mark of humanity since sin entered the world and robs us of being fully known. Prayer that includes confession is the pathway to becoming fully known

Psalm 10 gives us a picture of praying your pain. Over and over in scripture we’re faced with the reality that evil and injustice exist. In those moments, God’s people are invited to neither abandon their emotions or to allow the emotions to control them, but rather to pray their emotions.

Our 28 days of prayer start off with a look at Psalm 1. There are two primary ways people relate to God and this opening prayer will lead us towards a declaration that God’s ways are best. Our desire is to orient our lives around his vision of the blessed life.

We conclude our series by examining a church being planted in the Roman district of Philippi. Church planting partners with God’s heart for kingdom expansion by making disciples of Jesus in specific communities.
