In honor of Halloween Rosie takes on more unnerving territory with James Wan's 2013 film, The Conjuring. She discusses what it's all about (SPOILERS), peak moments which somehow connect to Stranger Things and how this film goes down the 'Monstrous Feminine' road once again.

Continuing the Halloween theme, Rosie explores the legacy of the legend of Sleepy Hollow and how Tim Burton added some creative licence and some serious Gothic-ness to the well-known tale.

Jennifer's Body famously received flop status when it debuted in 2009. This week Rosie appreciates the film delving into the reasons why it is so misunderstood by the wrong audience.

This week it's Coraline (2009) a childhood classic that is definitely on the creepier side. Rosie delves in and discusses themes of gender as well as her own fascination with this film

The Edge of Seventeen (2016) deals with some complex emotional issues for a teen movie but makes up for it in dark humour. Rosie delves in, reflecting on how the film's themes relate to her own life. Be cautious if you don't want any SPOILERS 

Fantastic Mr Fox (2009) is classic Wes Anderson, Rosie delves into this world and pulls out some pretty crazy ideas on mortality and the behaviors both humans and animals share. There are SPOILERS! 

This week Rosie talks about the aesthetic of the third Harry Potter installment, The Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) and the emotional themes that the film explores. As usual there is major spoilage because if you haven't seen Harry Potter, where have you been??

Easy A (2010) contains a few questionable morals but does that make its protagonist, Olive, into an icon or just a flawed teenager?

The Talented Mr Ripley (1999) is a bit darker than the other films I've had a go at. I get all pyscho-analysis on the protagonist Tom Ripley, who I would NOT like to meet in real life, whilst not forgetting to ask the elephant-in-the room question, is he just gay??
