Ron, Steve, and John are back for another round of Required Viewing, and this time the selection is a British crime thriller from 1980 called The Long Good Friday. After that, the guys discuss the fallout from the verdict in the Jonathan Majors assault/harassment trial, and then they do a quick rundown of recent things they’ve seen.

The guys take a quick trip to feudal Japan to check out 1980’s seminal Shogun Assassin, and then escape to a rental house in the country to see what Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali are up to in Netflix’s new apocalyptic thriller, Leave the World Behind. Also, John saw Wonka and shares a few thoughts.

After quickly discussing 2018's I'll Take Your Dead, the guys review Disney's Wish, Eli Roth's Thanksgiving, Ridley Scott's Napoleon, and Season 5 of Fargo, among others.

Ron, Steve, and John delve into the health of the modern mega-franchise and chat about the engrossing new book MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios. Then the guys take a look at the long, diverse career of the late, great William Friedkin before running down a smattering of recent things they’ve seen, including Apple TV+’s The Beanie Bubble. 

This week, the heroes of the half-pod you know as Ron, Steve, and John are here to discuss movies new and old, as well as pay homage to the great Paul Ruebens, who died this past week at the age of 70.
