Western Movie Draft 02.10.2022 1:53:11
This week the guys imagine their ideal western film, from casting, writing, directing, and musical score. Dustin steals a key component of Jake's picture, and we both fully enjoy each other's production. Shout out to Christy, Jake's wife, for inspiring the majority of his imaginary movie. Some might call that cheating, but whatever. We also spend a good bit of time at the top finally sharing our t...

This episode, the guys summon all their stamina to dissect the Lord of the Rings, and touch on the expanded universe with The Hobbit and Rings of Power. It's a miracle these movies even got made, let alone come out at a very specific time in world history (much like the books). We als...

In this episode the guys recap a few topics they missed from the Dad episode last time, and Dustin gives a spoiler-free review of "Nope." Then we struggle to understand and concisely explain anything about the decline of the Wachowskis, which is illustrated by "Jupiter Ascending." Hopefully this episode is a little more coherent than the actual film itself. What are your thoughts on "J...

Living on The Edge 21.03.2022 2:15:53
This week the guys dissect a classic survival film about man versus nature, including the jealous nature of other men! They experience technical difficulties in the opening, so you miss the beer segment, but unfortunately for Jake you don't miss Dustin's continued gloating. Be sure to watch "The Edge" before listening, because we dissect and spoil the entire thing. We celebrate famous animal...

We change our lists on the fly, tease a couple future episode topics, and Dust...
Movie Debate: Dredd v. Judge Dredd 06.03.2022 2:10:33
The guys test their friendship in their first heated debate episode. Each has to argue why their preferred Judge Dredd comic film adaptation is better than the other. Things get spicy as Jake controls the soundboard, and Dustin stoops to flagrant trickery. They also talk about the merits of gritty realism versus 90's action movies, and which surprise third picture might actually be the best Judge...

We also talk about the many inconsistencies in past decisions, landmark films in evol...

Craving Mystery: Under the Silver Lake 13.02.2022 3:20:18
This week the guys want you to all watch a great movie no one saw because we need people to talk about it with. "Under the Silver Lake" is a unique film because it transcends the screen, bringing the mysteries into the real world. This is definitely one of the most bizarre but great movies we've seen in a long time. There are a lot of codes to crack, meanings to infer, and conspiracies to solve. W...
10 Movies Set in 2022 07.02.2022 2:35:11
This week the guys try to determine if and when movies should be set in a specific year and date. They do that by watching ten movies about 2022 made in the 70's, 90's, 2000's, and very recently to see how accurately they predicted this year. The guys also rant about the weather and call out Texans for being wimps, and with the first movie of the draft being released, announce who is i...

2022 New Release Movie Draft 17.01.2022 3:41:58
This week we talk a lot of trash and try to pick the biggest movie releases of the year to outdo each other. Dustin gets in Jake's head, forcing him to pick a movie they both hate. Jake retaliates by trolling Dustin with a movie quote soundboard. It's another long one, but one of the most fun ever. By the end, my face hurt from laughing the whole time. Hope you enjoy!...
The Matrix Metaverse 10.01.2022 3:56:06
We're back with a massive deep dive into the Matrix franchise, praising, complaining, and spoiling it all along the way. We of course get super deep into the ideas and philosophy of the films, their impact on film-making, how fascinating the behind-the-scenes are, and even the impact on society and culture as thought processes changed after 1999. As always, we share a healthy dose of u...
Top 10 - Satire & Parody 20.12.2021 2:33:39

Movies You Must See at Least Once Before You Die 29.11.2021 2:09:50
The guys keep testing the limits of getting cancelled, but it's with good intentions as they've put together a sack full of movies you need to see. They range from movies you've never heard of, to ones you've probably skipped because they're not the most popular, to ones that are incredibly quotable classics but they're also old so the younger generation needs to revisit them. What is your r...
