In this episode, we see that the Pharisees seem to be more concerned with outward actions than inward motivations.

February 7, 2020- Wisdom or Just Rhetoric 07.02.2020

In this episode, we discuss the idea that wisdom that comes from God is offered in humility and is peace-making. If the “wisdom” we are espousing is adding to the division, it might not be wisdom after all.

In this episode, we hear the words of 1 John reminding us that the commands of God are not burdensome to those who have placed their trust in Christ!

In this reading from James, we realize that God is calling us away from excess at the expense of others!

In this episode, we read the letter to Philemon and realize that the gospel often challenges our culturally accepted assumptions.

In this episode we read the Beatitudes understanding them not as a new law, but rather a picture of the kingdom values that lead to our joy and peace.

In this episode we hear the call for the church to live differently, and we are reminded that it is only as we begin to understand the depth of God’s mercy that we are able to live in new ways!

In this reading from Matthew, we are challenged to change and become like little children!

January 28- Without Grumbling 30.01.2020

In this reading from Philippians we hear Paul, who is in jail, encouraging the church at Phillipi to live together without grumbling or arguing.

January 27- Exposing the Deeds of Darkness 30.01.2020

In this episode we take a look at a passage in Ephesians that talks about exposing the deeds of darkness and we are challenged to let that begin in us!

January 26- A Call to Repent and Follow 29.01.2020

In this episode, we hear Jesus calling his disciples to Repent and to follow because the kingdom of heaven has come near.

January 25- Giving Thanks and Praise 29.01.2020

In this episode, we are reminded that each new day is an opportunity for us to give thanks and praise to the God who created us!

January 24- Those Who Need A Doctor 24.01.2020

In this episode, we hear Jesus saying he came for those who need a doctor, which we realize is all of us!

January 23- People See the Change in Us 23.01.2020

In our passage, we see that people are wanting Paul to defend himself as an apostle but Paul reminds his readers that all they have to do is look at the change he has experienced!

January 22- New Wine 23.01.2020

Jesus is questioned about why his disciples don’t fast, and he assures the people his disciples WILL fast when he is gone, but ultimately he is doing something completely new!

January 21- Sacrifice for Sin 23.01.2020

In this reading from Hebrews, we are reminded that killing animals doesn’t really take away sin, only God can do that!

January 20- Where are You Staying? 21.01.2020

In this episode, we see that John the Baptist points some disciples toward Jesus. We see the disciples wanting to know where Jesus was staying and stay with him!
