Morning Manna

My heart is burdened for the nation of Israel. Today I'm reading Psalm 122 and I encourage you to pray with me today for the peace of Jerusalem.

As we wrap our week for Morning Manna, enjoy a reading of Psalm 91. Take this truth into you heart and mind and trust Him explicitly.

Do you like secrets? Do you wish you know more about everything? Deuteronomy 29:29 says, “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Let's trust Him with the secret things and focus on His truth revealed in His Word.

Lifeguards are special people who risk their lives to save the lives of others. James 5:19–20 says, “Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.” Perhaps we can be a lifeguard today.

2 Chronicles 16:9 says this... "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him." I love the old song, His Eye is On the Sparrow... "and I know He watches me." His eyes are on you and I today. Look to Him for strength and faith.

Micah 6:8 says this... “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” We know what is God from God's Word. Don't give in to situational ethics. Follow God's Word.

Enjoy a reading of Psalm 90 as we wrap up our week of Morning Manna. "And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands."

Phil 4:8 says this... "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things." Ezra 9:8 says this... “And now for a little while grace has been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage.” We need revival in our lives, our families, our nation and our world. I love the story of how God provided Manna for six days a week and for four decades. Exodus 16:31 says this... “And the house of Israel called its name Manna. And it was like white coriander seed, and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.” Let's talk about the Manna this morning.

I love that old song, His Eye Is On the Sparrow. Matthew 10:29–31: “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” The smallest things are important to our Father. John 16:33 says this... “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” In Jesus we have peace. In the world we have tribulation. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

I love what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:7: “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” Yes... we may be some clay pots but we are full of the treasure of God. Let's share that treasure with others today.

Today is the anniversary of 9/11. I want to share with you from John 16:33: “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” We have peace in Jesus. He has overcome and so will we.

Today is my 73'rd birthday. Most would think that with age comes wisdom and it should for sure, but sometimes not. Hosea 14:9 says this... “Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.” Let's talk about this on today's Morning Manna.

Sing, Proclaim, Declare - Today's Mission - 1 Chronicles 16:23–24: “Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” Let's make that our mission today!
