Panel of faculty and students discuss Kristen Radtke's graphic novel, Seek You: A Journey through American Loneliness.

The Mandala is a sacred cosmogram used as an object of contemplation. It depicts the pure nature of the world in which we live as well as how we can live most effectively. By creating a sand Mandala, the monks hope to bring the creative energy of that sacred dimension into our lives.

Communications and Journalism professor Lisa Couch and Information Literacy Librarian Tish Hayes focus on practical ways to improve our own “fake news” filters and recognize truth amidst overwhelming amounts of misinformation.

We will discuss how native plants, insects and birds interconnect to maintain our food supply, water, air quality, climate etc.

In this talk, we will focus on those predispositions and shortcuts that make us vulnerable to falling for conspiracy theories and misinformation.

We will also explore current tensions between efforts to protect the public with mask and vaccine mandates and concerns over infringements of personal freedom.
