Every instance of Jesus celebrating the Sabbath is spent with people, so how can Sabbath inform how we both love God AND love other people well?

This sermon explores the purpose of Sabbath and reminds us that the God who did not NEED to rest intentionally took time to step away from work, modeling it for us.

We tend to think of “vocation” as “work.” And that God is not involved in our work, but that He is involved in our “calling.” What happens when the line between these two are blurred? If we are a Christian, then we work for God first and foremost.

Genesis 11 tells the story of people building a tower to reach the heavens, trying to make a name for themselves. How do we build our own towers and use work to try and make a name for ourselves?

Our final sermon in our series on Micah. In a world that is often loud, Jesus calls us to be salt and light, two things that do not speak.

Micah 6:8 ends by inviting believers to walk in humility by voluntarily choosing "second place."

The prophet Micah gives us a glimpse of what justice in God's kingdom looks like, and it's pretty different from ours.

.“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”   This is Paul’s word to the Ephesians (and to us!) as we think about our relationships. What would happen if we reimagine every relationship with this instruction in mind?  How might our homes and our churches be impacted if our focus is submission to one another?  In this study of Ephesians 5:21-6:9 we explore these questions. 

In this sermon we explore Ephesians 5:3-20 where Paul invites us to wake from our sleep and live fully into our new identity as children of light.  

If the first 3 chapters of Ephesians are about the impact of the resurrection, then the last 3 chapters are about what we do about the resurrection!

Ephesians 4:1-16 reminds us that we are given this gift of grace, and that this gift should be met with a response from us — a response worthy of that calling we have received.

Ephesians 3:14-21 gives us a look at Paul’s prayer life — a prayer for the church in Ephesus, and for us as well.

Guest preacher Jim Beck (Open Door, Lubbock) reminds us that even in the worst moments, God keeps His promises.

Today we explore how Jesus has torn down walls that have separated us and how he is rebuilding a new house, a new dwelling within the church.

Ephesians 2:1-10 helps us recognize who we WERE so that we can lean into and give thanks for who we ARE in Christ!
