A great horror movie.

Stroszek is quite an absurd film. Its dark theme revolves around the inescapability of humanity in the face of our existence, filled with suffering, but its delivery is light and heartwarming. Despite all the bad that Bruno goes through, one can't help but laugh at it all. A fantastic Japanese body horror that takes the best from the likes of Cronenberg and Lynch, and spits out its own metal-industrial unique imagery. The editing is chaotic and absolutely breathtaking, the gore and special effects are brilliant. Everything about this film works together to enhance the theme of metal, industry, and decay, to create a visual experience like no other.

Fellini is truly a master at the art. He so effectively blends ancient and contemporary satire. He almost perfectly recreates the sensation of dreams. This film is visually one of the most beautiful things we've seen, and Fellini's technical skills are unmatched.

Evil Dead Trap is one of the best horror movies we've seen. Its composition is so well throughout, shot by shot and as a whole, this film is technically very sound. With a healthy amount of references to the horror greats that preceded it, along with the excellent manipulation of tension and release, you can tell these guys really love horror.

A mellow look into the individuals grieving process, and the importance of connection and openness with the people around you. Mostly driven by the characters interactions, plot taking a back seat, Baena does a good job at expressing the passive emotions of people dealing with shit. Despite the heavy subject matter, the cast and mostly improvised dialogue lend to a lighthearted, funny and ultimate...

It's worth the watch, genuinely funny and quite enjoyable, the film is by no means bad. It is a decent satire on the nature of audiences, and the film industry in a larger sense. But definitely a flawed product.

Unfortunately the version we viewed was if a lower quality than this movie deserves. As a result, some of us felt like it was lacking technically. Otherwise, it is beautiful tale of parallel love stories. Both allegorical and analogous. Even cyclical.

An excellent film that using humour in the lowest common denominator to craft a beautiful and sentimental story about human relationships. The Daniels' experience with music videos helps to create an extremely dynamic movie that is as touching as it gets.

All style no substance? Or maybe just distracted by how tasty the style is, cause boy is there some juicy substance in this film. Seriously though, this is an excellent movie. Refn has crazy control over every aspect of his films, and he always creates fantastic experiences.
