While there has been much discussion online of so-called ‘trad wife’ influencers, one woman has now written a book about her own journey of escape from a very troublesome marriage which bore many of the hallmarks of the trad wife movement. A new documentary film on TG4 this week explores the colourful and grisly history of whaling in Ireland, which was motivated primarily by the demand for the animals’ oil,  which could be used as a fuel.
