Galatians 4 tells us that when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, not in a palace, not in a mansion, not in a large house but in a manger. The thought that God the Son entered into his own creation, entering time and space and matter to bring hope and redemption. As Christians we all have access to the same authority Jesus has, he even said in John's Gospel that we his disciples would do greater things. In order to do these things, the good works God has prepared in advance for us to do, we need to recognise and operate in the authority that Colossians tells us we have access to because of what Jesus has done for us.

The bible tells us without faith it is impossible to please God and that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. In a rudimentary way faith can be explained as "trust in action". Many people, even those that have no faith in God can agree that if we all lived like Jesus the world would be a better place. So how do we as Christians learn to live more like Jesus – we become disciple making disciplers. Discipleship can be likened to a Jesus apprenticeship, we learn from following our teacher Jesus.

In Luke Chapter 5 - Jesus teaches us about the the old and new wineskin. When God moves us it's always a challenge, but the challenge brings change and sometimes God allows challenges to bring in the change. In Genesis 22 we read about the life of Abraham, who because of his steadfast faith became the father of many nations. This promise of God to Abraham blessed not just the nation of Israel but any of us who have received Jesus into our hearts as Lord and Saviour.

2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Not one day, not perhaps but it is now if we are in Christ. Every single person has the opportunity to receive Jesus and this is all made possible because Jesus is our propitiation.

Life is filled with such a time as this moments, we all have them whether they relate to our faith, our work or our families we all have moments that have a greater impact than we realise at the time. God created Adam in His image and he gave him a relationship with himself plus a world in which he was supposed to take dominion over and subdue. Adam because of disobedience lost not only his birthright but also his blessing.

In Matthew 16:21-28, Jesus calls His followers to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him. True discipleship requires courage—standing firm in faith even when it's costly.
