Paulo Leminski (1944-1989) was a writer of prose, poetry, literary criticism and translation. His first publications appeared in Invenção, a journal of the Brazilian Concretist poets. Shash Trevett, now living in York, came to the U.K. from Sri Lanka in 1987 to escape the civil war. For many years she stopped speaking and writing in Tamil, a language which she has now started to re-engage with in her poetry.
