Were there wonders and signs in heaven and on earth during Yeshua and his apostles ministries? How could the sun have been darkened and the moon turn to blood in the first century? And what about the “Day of Yahweh” or “Day of the Lord”? Is that day yet future, or is it somehow past? These topics and more are covered.

I sat down to begin writing my sermons on Exodus 22:5-15 and I ended up writing 5 pages of intro material. I pray it’s a blessing to you.

Some in Christianity have taken a position of total, complete pacifism. Based upon this text in Exodus (and a few others) I believe they are incorrect. At the same time we must consider the balance found in religious persecution. Listen to learn about some intricate details in the book of instruction and how they apply to our modern lives.

We begin a new chapter in our journey through Torah here and look at some particulars in regards to theft and restitution. Why is double restitution required sometimes but five-fold restitution required at other times? I also cover narrative examples of restitution from the mouth of King David and Zaccai. 

The laws pertaining to responsibility and/or negligence do not just apply when a human being is injured or killed, but also when an animal is injured or killed. Domestic animals are their owner’s responsibility. In the last half of this lesson I give a brief refresher course on why we spend time studying the Book of the Law. 

Does Exodus 21:28-32 apply to you if you don’t own an ox? Maybe it only applies if someone you know personally owns an ox? Listen to learn about the necessity of Yahweh’s law, and the importance of us not being negligent. 

On the heels of the Law concerning striking a pregnant woman comes a judgment clause about “eye for eye.” Is this barbaric and outdated? Have you ever thought deeper about what it could mean? Listen to learn of the just judgments of Yahweh, and also how Yeshua did not abandon Exodus 21:24-25 when he cited Matthew 5:38-42. 

This lesson begins to take a look at Apostle Peter’s quotation from the prophet Yo’el (Joel) in regards to the last days. Why did Peter add the phrase “the last days” to Joel’s text?

Sermon pulls from Luke 23:32-43. I respond to a popular clip I’ve seen a lot of lately from Alistair Begg. Should we look to our works at all as a part of our salvation? Is justification by faith alone the apostolic teaching? 

This is a message of encouragement for the saints of Yahweh to keep on serving Him no matter what. It can weigh on a man’s mind after years of being different from most people in the world, but we must endure to the end. Not everyone who starts a race finishes it. May we finish strong, not making excuses for ourselves when we don’t want to keep certain commandments.

We must recognize the importance of Apostle Peter’s preaching. Nothing takes the place of a law-gospel preacher. It would do us all well to find a preacher who is true to Yahweh’s Word and sit under his tutelage.

I decided to answer some FAQ about Passover this year in preparation for the holydays. I look at the reason why Yahweh’s people stay up most of the night on Passover, and at what point we are allowed to exit our house (to fulfill the remaining ordinances). The lesson ends with an actual example in our local congregation of an emergency situation and how Yahweh’s mercy always forgives the repentant...

This lesson calls us back to celebrating that which Yahweh sanctions. Modern Christianity celebrates just about every holiday with some kind of religious flare, except for the ones commanded in Holy Scripture. I do an overview of the Scriptural calendar here, and end with talking about how Yeshua is the great shadow-caster. Buckle up for a truck-load of information.

This wraps up this mini-series within a series on the Scriptural gift of tongues. Acts 2:11-13 is exegeted and then questions are answered. Towards the end 1 Corinthians 14 is examined in light of Acts 2; whether or not the languages therein are the same, and whether or not the gift the Apostles received can be or is experienced today. So many golden nuggets of teaching are given in this lesson.

Before getting into the intricacies of this law, groundwork must be laid as to how Hebrews thought of conception and pregnancy. In this lesson I talk about some common sense arguments and then look at some key Scriptures from Genesis, Psalms, and Luke.

We can’t harm others and expect to not have to make it right by actual, tangible means. This lesson deals with physical altercations between friends (or people in general), and it also covers the proper understanding on ancient master-to-slave relationships in Hebrew culture. I talk about the prophet use of the “rod of correction” as well. 

Why did Yahweh give the Apostles of Yeshua the ability to speak in languages they had never learned? This lesson takes us all the way back to Genesis, and then walks through some key texts in the Law (Deuteronomy 28:49) and the Prophets (Isaiah 28:11; Jeremiah 15:5). It ends with an impactful look at the Parable of the Good Samaritan.

This sermon looks at 2 Timothy 3:1-5, Matthew 7:21-23, and Titus 1:15-16 in order to determine what power Paul is telling Timothy that some people deny. It’s so important that we always read and interpret Scripture in context, else we will come up with all sorts of fanciful doctrines. I critique the modern day Charismatic Church in this sermon, and I do not apologize for it. 

If you’ve never studied about Hanukkah you really should. I encourage you to start by reading 1 Maccabees 1-4 and 2 Maccabees 6, 7, and 10. This lesson centers in on the dedication some of the Israelites had towards Yahweh during a time of extreme persecution, calling us all to examine our own dedication to Yahweh.

What exactly happened in Acts 2 in regards to foreign tongues? Is the modern Pentecostal experience biblically affirmed? Listen carefully with an open bible to learn some things you rarely hear taught even though they are right there in a popular chapter in the New Testament.

I look here at (1) the Father’s attitude towards the killing or murder of Yeshua, (2) the salvation sermons preached by a primary Apostle of Yeshua [Peter], (3) and some objections given to my view based upon Isaiah 53 and Matthew 27. There’s a ton of info in this lesson, so get your Bible out and follow closely. 

Here I present the older view of the atonement: Ransom + Christus Victor. There was a cosmic battle between Yahweh and Satan, and it had to do with Satan being the deceiver back in the Garden of Eden. Listen to learn how the death of Yeshua actually does pay the price for our sins.

Was Yeshua a ritual sacrifice to Yahweh in the same way the animal sacrifices were? Have you ever given it any thought? Sometimes Genesis 22 is used to support this view (or one similar), but are we reading it properly? This lesson calls us to stretch our minds spiritually and not grumble and dismiss something just because we don’t feel like changing our understanding.
