MMA on the Rocks

We recap what little we saw of this weekend's MMA action and take a deep dive into Mexican history and tequila... mostly tequila. We also talk about Jeff's near eyeball gauging and preview UFC 224 from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Did I mention tequila?

Short episode this week recapping Bellator 198, Fedor vs Mir. We mostly talk the main event and the 4 straight submissions on the main card. 6 days, 4 different main events, 3 fights cancelled, 2 championship fights, 1 fighter in jail and we cover it all plus more. UFC 232 was an epic event, but not for the reasons we anticipated. I use my baby monitor for the first time, but not for the baby, we celebrate national beer day and preview UFC Fight Night on Fox 29 - cheers!

Tony Ferguson pulls out of the main event of UFC 223 against Khabib Nurmagomedov and we prayed the card would be saved somehow. Max Holloway stepped up to the plate and after a lot of cursing, a little rum and a long look at the rest of the card, we may be convinced that all is not lost. We recap an action-packed weekend of fights which included UFC 218 from Detroit, Michigan and The Ultimate Fighter season 26 finale from Las Vegas, Nevada.
