I saw Danette at our show last night and realized I hadn't done anything with this amazing field recording I took back on August 1st. What was going on that night!? A few owls very close to our front door were the backdrop for my listening inside - a new Hans Reichel compilation - you can faintly hear the strains here. Got to see Leo play a brief set at the Moore tonight, opening for Jim Croce's son. He intended for me to hang with him backstage a bit but alas, the message was not received by the staff. He played beautifully anyways. Link to the post.

It's been solid notation time on a new hedges piece for Stropes, and I've been listening more than playing. Here's another brief dose of that Leegajus record. Link to the post.

This record Leegajus was found in a musty tiny record store in Berlin in 2001. We used this piece on Wizard Prison 2 to drive some metal in the middle of this track. Link to the post.

ONE THOUSAND posts. This is from a 2005 4 track tape. By now I had a multitrack setup on a PC and was probably using Cubase or Nuendo, but I still loved my 4 track. I found this piece of sheet music all in Japanese, and read it down a few ways - a very satisfying way to spend practice time. Link to the post.

A 4 track thing from 96. Little Benji was trying to use every effect I could on this ART multieffect unit, and I think there is compressor and auto-wah on the voice, in adddition to some heavy pre-tape eq-ing on all tracks.
