Sugar addict birth to death but today not active at it. Really good dieter... Every goal was a rebound. Lied to avoid invitations and maintain isolation. The beginning or recovery was when I learned to love myself no matter what I weighed.

Childhood Dancing, Track, Drill kept is at bay. Abstinance is fragile and often taken for granted. A sliver leads to a slive which leads to a slab which leads to a slob. Now I go to meetings to speak and listen. It has to go both ways.

Mom loved sugar, Dad loved snacks, I loved sugary snacks. Today I do my part (Meetings, outreach calls,etc) God does his part (the results). It seems to be out working well.

My mom thouhgt freezing the Ding Dongs woudl stop me... She was wrong. Incredible membership benefits of OA include, friendships, support, help and a healthy life. I can pass as normal but you all know they truth. What a relief.

Sugar in his baby food stopped his crying. Eventually he found every diet worked ... for a while.... Once. A journey from Food to allcohols, to food to OA to God.

Speed may not be the best solution for overeating. Googling AA for fat people does bring up OA. OA Led to a lifelong solution for compulsive overeating. as offering relationships which may be approaching friendship.

Franks always remembered what food did FOR him forgetting what it did TO him. Meeting atendance, even with commitments, does not equal recovery. But it helps

She learned in OA she had accepted 4 big lies. 1, I will start on Monday 2. I will just have a little bit from the bag/package. 3. It doesn't show so no one will know. 4. I can do it myself.

Loosing the weight was not enouigh to make the perfect life. A 200 pound weight loss, although remarkable, could not fix her. It took the steps, honetsty, doing the work,calls and a solid sponser she was willing to listen to in order to achive real recovery.

It took Mike long time to "Get it". For years he dabbled in OA Waving the banner of sobriety convincing himself they were different. He tells his story with humor and emotion and comapssion everyone can identify with.

Food became a safe place during an uncertian, unsafe and challenging childhood. Eventually it stopped working. OA is now offering a great life.
