In Psalm 103, David directs our worship to a God who rescues sinners from their desperation in order to bless them with his love and grace. Though he would be just in issuing judgment, he forgives in order to bless. When we come into his presence, we are overwhelmed by his love.

Similar to the "gap" of knowledge that toddlers have with parents, we have a gap in our understanding of how God works. This Psalm reminds us who God is, and gives one example of how we can trust Him despite us not fully knowing His ways.
