Few things are as frustrating or disappointing as seeing someone squander or spoil their purpose. Your purpose is such a gift – a privilege, really – and it should be stewarded in that way.

Have you ever struggled to know what your purpose is? Does it feel like everyone else easily, or naturally, walks in their purpose while your purpose seems to elude you? Maybe you've even been frustrated by the fact that hardly anyone can tell you exactly *how* to find your purpose. All of this has made you wonder: "Is God playing some sort of cosmic game of hide and seek with my purpose?"

Have you ever considered who you need to be in order to fulfill your purpose? So much time, energy, thought, and resources are expended on finding one's purpose, but very little consideration is given to who a person needs to become in order to fulfill their purpose.

What am I here for? Is there more to life than this? What is the point of life? What is my purpose? Everyone has asked these questions and searched for the answers. We all want to believe there is more to this life and that who we are and what we do matters. There is something within our human existence that points to something greater.

We all know what it feels like to not want to lose something that we've worked so hard to obtain. The satisfaction of stepping into that moment, or experiencing that achievement, is so rich and so sweet that we don't want it to be lost.

Learning something new about yourself is always surprising. But have you ever been surprised by something negative within you that you weren't previously aware was there?

Stepping into God's promises doesn't come easy. If you want to take hold of the promises of God for your life, then you're going to need some resilience and perseverance to fight the battles that will inevitably come before you. In fact, in some cases, you'll have to even chase down the enemy that's seeking to rob you of the things of God in your life.

What would it take for the church to be the type of place where people felt secure and safe to share their questions, struggles, or troubles? What if the church – our church, Meta Church – was actually the type of place people wanted to come to in times of uncertainty? What would it take for that to be possible?

We've all been privy to certain performances that have been so compelling, so moving, and so awe-inspiring that it's caused us to respond with applause and enthusiasm.
