For Israel, God was in their foreground. But for Moab, God was in their background. Even though God showed Moab his favour, Moab never invited God into their foreground. Moab confused the reason for God's favour and convinced itself that God was not the cause. Moab's confidence was in the wrong things. Where is your confidence?
