God not only wants his Spirit to dwell in us but also to come upon us. The outpouring of the Spirit is a sign of God’s anointing. It enables and empowers us to fulfil our God-given assignment. When we align with the Spirit, the supernatural happens as we continue Jesus’ miraculous works today!

When we are living in God’s presence, we will naturally be worshipful at all times. We produce an atmosphere of joy and worship and it is very contagious. It results in an attitude and act of singing and praising God. Songs just bubble up from within.

God wants us to be filled with his Spirit at all times. Why? We are constantly filled with earthly, worldly and fleshly things which rule our hearts resulting in making wrong choices and taking the wrong directions in life. But if we are filled with the Holy Spirit, he can guide us into the things of God and abundant living.

We redeem the time by filling ourselves with Scripture through studying and obeying it. God’s word is the sword of the Spirit, our most powerful weapon. Jesus uses it to defeat his spiritual enemies and to gain wisdom.

There’s a huge difference between making a decision about Christ and making a commitment to Christ. God wants us to be all in for Him because He is all in for us. In another aspect, worship is paying attention to what God wants to say to us. When we listen, we are to listen with the intention to obey God. As a result, worshipping God ought to change us. It transforms us to be more like Jesus.

The Sabbath day existed before the fall and is part of the Ten Commandments. God has even blessed it and set it aside as a day for rest. We are instructed to keep it holy but what does it mean? How do we keep our Sabbath day holy? How do we make it a holy day and not just a holiday?

The church is an agent of change in the community. Let us put this into practice; compassion isn’t just “heart-work” but also involves hard-work. There is the giving, sacrifice of time and commitment. Only people who are willing to change can change. Let the church make a difference. How can we extend love and compassion to the community?

When we are confronted with pain and suffering in this imperfect fallen world, we may feel overwhelmed with the problem and underwhelmed with resources. We think we have nothing significant to offer. God is concerned with the broken, the oppressed, the needy and the poor. In Scriptures, God clearly tells us our responsibility to help those in need. As God’s children, we are to show compassion to those who are suffering. God expects us to make a difference.

In a world obsessed with self, comfort and convenience, it is easy to become apathetic to the needs of people. How did Jesus live? Jesus is the tangible expression of compassion.
