If you are a believer already, you have great power in you. His name is Jesus. He can do exceedingly abundantly more than you can ask or even imagine according to the power that is at work in you. Jesus is telling you right now to rise up and walk in the power of His name. Read Psalm 107.1-3, 17-22, and Acts 3.10. Fix your attention on Jesus. Put faith to work. And praise God for the blessings!

According to Esther 2.5-11 and John 14.5-14, God's people can become fathers or father figures by 1)assuming the fatherly role, 2)being worth emulating, and 3)never ceasing to care. You do not have to be a biological father to be a father to someone. Happy Father's Day!

Don't push me 'cause I'm close to the edge. I'm trying not to lose my head. These are lyrics from 1982 and it is still appropriate today. In these uncertain times, we can be pushed into peril and pulled into peace. Choose peace by focusing on Isaiah 26.1-4 and Philippians 4.4-9. He will keep you in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him!

With sin running rampant, what is the believer to do? We are to let righteousness reign. Scripture text is from Psalm 37.1-11 and John 13.21-30. Hear what thus sayeth the LORD.

With the challenges taking place around the world in general and these United States in particular, it is time for God's people to take a stand! The topic is based on Joshua 24.1-15 and 1Cor 2.1-16. The time for silence is over. Speak up and speak out.

We should never forget what God has done for us. Joshua reminded the Israelites after crossing the Jordan river (Josh 4.4-14; 22-24). Jesus reminded the Apostles (1Cor 11.23-26). May we never forget the grace of our LORD and Savior.

In Micah 6.1-8, God brings an indictment against His people because of their spiritual hypocrisy. What can we glean from their mistakes to help us walk humbly with the LORD? Micah provides the key in verse 8.

Mothers are gifts from God. In 2Tim 1.1-7, Paul remembered both the mother and grandmother of Timothy and the faith they instilled in him. Every day and especially today is a good day to thank God for mothers. Happy Mothers Day!

We learn from 1 Samuel 19.1-24 that attacks can come out of nowhere. Like David, we must take protective measures realizing during perilous times, love requires sacrifice. Faithful people will seek wise counsel and they know that all enemies will eventually bow to God. Fear moves us to do our part. Faith is trusting that God will do His part.

According to Psalm 46, God is our security, our hope for a better tomorrow, and our peace in troubling times. Trust that God is!

Acts 1.1-11 shows us that Jesus was purpose-driven and designed us to be, we have been empowered and gifted for purpose, and we ought to get caught living our purpose.

Satan thought it was over. The Pharisees thought it was over. Pilate thought it was over. Even the disciples and the women thought it was over. But early that Sunday morning, what we now recognize as Resurrection Day (Easter), they all discovered that it wasn't over. Jesus is alive and well (and so are we who believe) as detailed in Luke 24.1-12 and the other Gospels.

In Luke 19.28-48, we read about the Triumphal Entry. In verse 41, we read about Jesus weeping over Jerusalem. He wept because many of the people would miss His coming. Soon, it would be too late for them. It's not too late for us.

Based on John 16.25-33, we discover bad things happen to all people. However, we can be encouraged because of the presence of Jesus, who provides the victory. We can have peace in the storm.

Based on 2Chron 7.14, there are specific things God requires of us. He always does His part. The question is, "Will we do our part?" There are things we can do today as we pray for divine intervention.

Although this message was delivered some time ago under different circumstances, we still need peace, especially as we face the current pandemic of 2020.

According to John 4.19-24, the Father is seeking true worshipers... those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. What does that look like? We seek to answer this question in this message.
