Right in the middle of Peter’s letter he addresses the important issue of marriage. It is interesting to note that most all ancient writings do not address how husbands and wives are to interact nor what the relationship should look like. Yet God esteems marriage as the highest of all human relationships. In this letter Peter addresses the wives (3:1-6) and then the husbands (3:7).

When we place our faith in Jesus Christ there are certain privileges that come with our new reality.

These days are filled with negativity, distrust, and hurt. But God’s Word tells us we can live beyond these realities by living the realities of His instruction.

Peter, the author of 1st Peter, is one of the most complex characters in the Bible. He is a great example of what it means to “survive and thrive” in Christ.

We all have blind spots, character flaws, or certain “Respectable Sins” that seem to go unnoticed in our lives. Often, these “subtle sins” are never dealt with. We can become so preoccupied with the major sins of society that we can lose sight of the need to deal with our own more subtle sins. (Ephesians 4:29)

Can anyone, regardless of their past accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and experience a changed life through the power of the Holy Spirit? The answer is “yes”. In fact, some of the worst sinners turn out to be some of the most passionate saints. One of the greatest transformations in the entire Bible is seen in the life of the apostle Paul.

The Biblical account of Peter’s restoration gives the reader one of the clearest pictures of a transformed life.

The challenge for most people is to move from a system of religion and rituals into a relationship with God who loves them.

The time between Jesus first appearance after His resurrection and His ascension (His return to Heaven) is forty days. During this forty-day period He appears to many with messages of hope and instruction.

Jesus' final words on the cross were very calculated, and revealed much about who He was and is and His purpose and mission.

In the gospel accounts of Jesus’ ministry, we read that He had many accusers, as well as admirers. His accusers ranged from surprisingly the religious who maliciously demanded His execution to the political leaders who found no fault in Him, yet still yielded to pressures to execute Him. Jesus’ accusers were blinded by their misplaced expectations, their delusional egos, and their envious spirit.

In the gospel accounts of Jesus’ ministry, we read that He had many accusers, as well as admirers. Many totally misunderstood Jesus’ mission and purpose and even who He was; including many of His admirers even up to the last events and last words just before He was placed on the cross.
