Fun fact: One of the main tourist attractions near Rotorua actually has an artificial geothermal vent supplied with steam by a boiler, just like Melvin discovered in this episode. It made no sense to us when we noticed it, just as it made no sense to Melvin.

Melvin and Mother go to the races, where Melvin's search for sheep ends in mayhem and glory. Fun fact: The white fake rabbit thing the greyhounds chase is named Rusty the Rabbit. Apparently that's its name at every race track.

Melvin discovers a hidden talent while working out the plan for Melvin and Mother to get an epic breakfast... Fun fact: Melvin's maths in this episode checks out. What a clever wee piggy!

Melvin and Mother go check out the new highway being constructed nearby. Fun fact: Even though dump trucks are very strong, their large weight means that if you drove one over a BMX track like Mother does in this episode, it would get very broken. So don't try this at home!

Mother decides to borrow a van for a bit to do some driving. Fun fact: In this episode we discover how one of our sons got his drone stuck in a tree at our friends' house. Also, don't drive like Mother does in this episode or your neighborhood will not like you.
