Meet the Farmers

Ben speaks to Monmouthshire farmer, lecturer, cider maker and NFU county chair, Kate Beavan, about her life and work as well as her tv appearances and her messages to the public and to farmers across the UK.

Ben meets Andrew Prentice who moved to western Scotland from Aberdeenshire 10 years ago to farm beef and sheep on the Isle of Iona.

Ben meets Irish dairy farmers Paula and Pete Hynes. They talk about the ups and downs of the Hynes family's last few years, farming, life, death and mental health.

In this longer than usual episode Ben heads to Russia to speak to international agri-business consultant Robert Covell to talk about BIG agriculture and the global prospects for the UK.

Ben meets Ben Raskin, who is Head of Horticulture and Agroforestry at the Soil Association. He's also written books for children and adults on gardening, plays in a folk band, walked 50 miles for his 50th birthday and once lived in Italy!

Ben meets Laura Buckingham who is arable manager and agronomist at Fram Farmers Cooperative which is based in Suffolk.
