Maureen Y. Smith - Conquering the Seeds of Destruction

As you listen to today's podcast, you will discover a new seed, The Seed of Worry, that can be planted into you by the adversary if you allow the things of the world to consume your mind. Try to remove the distractions that the enemy keeps bringing to you and allow God's voice to be your focal point that guides you to peace.

God is always there. Can you allow yourself to be guided by God and to trust Him in everything that you do on a daily basis? Know that God hears your every prayer and you must believe in that. Listen and learn from Job as you continue to build your own personal relationship with God.

There are so many things that are going on in the world and it can become overwhelming if you allow yourself to get too consumed with all of it. What will you do in the midst of it? Whose voice will you hold onto to give you the peace and the wisdom that you need to get through it?

On today's podcast, I will ask you to seek out and answer questions about issues or problems that still have not been resolved in your life. As your journey and go deeper, I pray that you will be committed to doing the work so that you can have resolution, fulfillment, and a new discovery of your purpose.

God's Seed of Survival, The Seed of Joy will overpower the Seed of Bitterness if you are in total submission to allowing God to handle the situation completely. Hold onto God's voice at all times and you will ultimately feel His presence working inside of you through the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately, if you are still listening to the voice of the adversary, he has you right where he wants you. Listen and see how obedient Esther was to God and allow her teachings to help you to come back to Him.

As you listen to today's podcast, you will discover that if you keep staying in your current mindset of hurt and pain, you will feel led by the adversary to act out your pain. He plants the next root into you and you must not feel that these actions are warranted and accepted by God. Listen and recognize that God does not condone this type of behavior nor does He want His children to represent Him...

Today, I will uncover the first root that can develop from the Seed of Bitterness which is the Root of Hatred. If you keep allowing yourself to stay in your hurt, pain, or suffering, you will discover that this negativity inside of you deepens, causing you to get closer to the destruction that the adversary has planned for you. As I continue the conversation of the Seed of Bitterness, it becomes necessary to understand what has become your focus. What is the dialogue that you keep having in your mind? Today, I will be covering a brief overview of what I have covered so far in dealing with the seeds and roots of destruction. I pray that you will make a commitment to do the necessary work that is found in the book and the workbook. Learn from the people in the Bible and implement the tools from the books to achieve the life of abundance God has for you.

God's Seed of Survival - The Seed of Honesty will help you to combat the Seed of Gossip. When you make the conscious choice of operating in God's characteristics, you will display integrity, credibility, and honesty in your demeanor. Learn from Jesus on how He displayed honesty and continue to seek God for more discipline in your conversations with others.

Please understand that just because you have fulfilled certain wants and desires from a lie, it will be short-lived. Listen and see how things can start off being enjoyable, but chaos and confusion will be around the corner.

The last root that is watered to grow inside of you from the Seed of Gossip is the Root of Lying. This root can be very destructive because it goes completely against what God says to do which is to speak truth. As a result, the Root of Lying is also one of the things that God hates. Always know that nothing good comes out of a lie.

Yesterday, I talked with you about the Root of Betrayal and you listened to how a betrayer could be affected in situations. Today, I am going to discuss how victims of betrayals are affected and how they may choose to handle situations that involve unpredictable and predictable betrayals. It becomes important to learn the six steps in order to move forward in your life when someone has betrayed yo...

The Root of Betrayal that is watered by the enemy can affect a person deeply and sometimes, it can be hard (but not impossible) for the person to overcome. This root can also affect each person involved differently. Today, listen and see how the betrayer deals with situations.

When the enemy plants the Root of Slander into you, you have decided to not only allow the Seed of Gossip to grow inside of you, but you also give yourself the permission to spread negative and false information about others. See how Jesus dealt with this root with the Pharisees and learn from Him. Also, meditate on the Scriptures Matthew 12:22-37.

Unlike most seeds, the enemy plants the Seed of Gossip into a person in settle ways and most people minimize its level of destruction. Listen and discover how the seed of gossip can form into you and cause detriment to your life.

God wants you to keep seeking Him and trusting Him so that you can be obedient to His Will. Therefore, it becomes necessary to not just to go along to get along to please others, nor should your focus be on pleasing yourself consistently. Meditate and memorize the two greatest commandments that Jesus gave to man and let those be your guide daily.

How you communicate and relate to others can be essential in the types of relationships that you build with people. What is your primary goal in the relationship? Listen and determine if your conversations are growing and developing with others and with the Holy Spirit.

God wants you to hear His voice and to operate in the things that He says to do. He also wants you to be able to display forgiveness and to let go of the things that has happened to you so that it will guide you into becoming a better servant for Him. Listen and allow God to equip you completely. 

I shared with you yesterday the Plan of Salvation and how to connect with Jesus. Once you have done that, it becomes important to make sure that you learn how to forgive others. Being one of God’s children means also acting like He does. You must be willing to operate in the same characteristics that He does.
