Don't ever lie to God. We must be honest with ourselves, but most importantly be honest to God. When you violate that which is held to be true in your mind or heart, there is an unsettling of the heart that comes upon you.

It comes down to a matter of integrity. Will you be honest with the core values that you hold, to the Biblical worldview and the teachings that you hold as a Christian?

The real hunger in our hearts is intimacy. What we are hungering for, what everyone really want, is intimacy. You can't have intimacy unless you have a deep and lasting commitment.

We are valuable because we are soul bearers. We are valuable because we are made in God's likeness. We have the image of God in us.

The Holy Spirit is a gift from God. How do you honor the gift giver? You use up that gift.

And He says what? It is good, this is good! Instead of mulling over in His mind what work must be done the next day or begin to tackle the problems of the next day, God takes time to stop in that rhythm and reflect.

When we pray, we are speaking directly to God. When we pray we are using His name to address Him but are we doing so with proper reverence and respect? Are we approaching Him with humility and awe, recognizing His majesty and His holiness? Are we treating prayer like a casual conversation?

Seeing God as a means of getting what we want, that is idolatry. Remember the Scripture, "I, the Lord your God am a jealous God.

There are certain things that God did not give to us that we thought we wanted and in retrospect, we often said, "Amen! Thank you God for your wisdom. You knew better than me. I was confused about thinking that I needed that."

Be an intentional follower of Jesus Christ. Start and end your day with God. Be self-aware of your thoughts and question whether your thoughts are pleasing to God.

God's love is transformational.
