Sara... Saraaaa. No Time is a good time for goodbyes. Geof Isherwood writes and draws this issue of Justice where Tensen is down and out living with cab driver Artie. Will he find his motivation? In DP7 the team is splitting, which would be a really bad time to be hunted by "The Clinic." It's also a hugely emotional issue for one of our favorite characters...

Car trouble, an irritated flight attendant, a rival quarterback and the Washington Centurions...only one of these things is going to turn deadly for Jack Magniconte in this issue of Kickers Inc. Also over in Mark Hazzard: Merc we get our highest Mark Hazzard body count yet, but was it enough to win a passing grade from our podcast hosts?

Starlets of the 80's in swimsuits, lighting people on fire with torches, Nightmask issue 6 has it all! Ok, and maybe something about sibling drama too. PSI Force features the return of everyone's favorite homicidal sociopath orphan, Cool! ...and it's a christmas issue where we learn more about Tyrone. How could you go wrong?

In Justice we have the big showdown with...Dad? Not Tensen's Dad...and well maybe not technically Damon Conquest's either? Anyway, lots of ACTION! Over in DP7 one member of the crew leaves team in a genuinely emotional moment and the rest of the team gives exorcism a shot. After all that we have a brief discussion of Religion in comics and the New Universe.

Two of our New Universe teams collide as the Kickers get a request to reunite Stephanie (from DP7) with her son, and deal with "the clinic." In Merc, Mark Hazzard gets a request from Mal to help rescue his sister, but all is not as it seems.

No dogs or gerbils were killed in either issue this week, though it was a close call. Nightmask was still an explosive issue with lots of trouble from a mob of merry gangsters planting bombs everywhere. Over in PSI force we meet another teen paranormal who calls himself the Stalker! He sounds like trouble.

Ken Connell is finally going to make a decision that could shake the New Universe to its core...he's going to stick with just one lady!!! But will it be Barb or Debbie??? Also something about terrorists. Over in Spitfire and the Troubleshooters our main character Jenny is locked in Jail while Eduardo "strong arms" Giotti plans to save the day. In Justice, our hero Tensen is getting ready for a showdown with Damon Conquest that will not go how anyone expects. He also has some long distance girlfriend trouble! In this issue of DP7 our squad gets a reprieve from the Clinic hunting them only to end up having all sorts of Wompus-related problems!

The Kickers get back to playing football, but their first game is against a very dirty Raiders "cough" I mean Wreckers team. Will Jack use his totally not cheating powers for good? Or stoop to their level? In Merc, Mark Hazzard is in jail. feeling like he has some tough choices to make. As his kid says though, whenever you have a problem you just shoot somebody! Nightmask finally comes face to face with Lady Midnight, but is it on a date? a fight? something in-between? And what does she have in common with Keith's sister Teddy? Dreams, action and making out in this issue! In PSI-Force this issue focuses on Kathy who attempts to make an escape from the control of the Psi-Hawk, who is totally gross, right? Yuck! At the end we discuss what it might really be...

Before we get to the comics, we spend a little time discussing the lack of super heroes in the New Universe. After that we dive in to Star Brand where Ken is spends a lot of time on the couch of sadness and over in Spitfire we get some art from a famous artist who drew Coyote and Infinity Inc. Oh and I guess there are some deaths, arrests, and explosions too!

This automotive combat episode! Tensen's road trip kicks off with a nice stop in a roadside diner in Oklahoma, what could go wrong? Over in DP7 our team hits the road as well, but does sunscreen protect against psychoplasmic pustules?

Guns, Parades and covens! Merc takes his next mercenary job, but he's got to stay out of trouble since the cops have their eye on him. That and the Kickers find out just how much trouble can be caused when a chemistry professor loses federal funding

A good place to start if you are new to the New Universe or just new to the podcast. Here we share some of the descriptions Marvel used in 1986 to promote the New Universe, introduce ourselves, and talk a little bit about ourselves.

Nightmask has to deal with drugs, dreams, and a boatload of sci-fi dream creatures while our kids in PSI Force struggle to understand what brought them together.

To start we take a look back at the previous two months worth of New Universe books and talk about world building in the New Universe and our Favorite Characters so far. Then in Star Brand we find Ken at the peak of his ladies man ways and Spitfire takes the MAX suit on a mission against Krotze.

In this episode we look at two of our favorites from the first month. In DP7 our team is on the run from the clinic and some paranormal hunters that have really fun and weird paranormal powers. In Justice we learn more about the world that Justice/Tensen comes from.
