We do not worship a memory, a memorial of what once was, or a teacher who has died. Christianity is not another dead religion. This morning and for all time we worship Him who is alive forevermore. We are here because we have all encountered a Person! With a billion saints gathered around the world today we declare, "We have seen him! We have seen his beauty!"

Through the cross, we have been joined to the Godhead forever in the Person of Jesus. Our hope is that through a massive divine initiative, God chose us, bought us, called us, raised us from the dead with Christ, justified us, and put His Spirit within us. He is working in us that which is pleasing in His sight to glorify us as surely as His Son's blood is of infinite value.

The crowd that shouted "hosanna" on Palm Sunday was the same crowd that would be shouting "crucify Him!" on Friday. What changed in 5 days? Jesus did not fufill their expectations; He did what they did not expect and what they did not want Him to do. We are a spiritual family spread across multiple nations all bound together by the blood of a spotless Lamb, the worth of Jesus, the a great desire to host the presence of the living God among us day and night, and a passion to see people saved, healed, delivered, discipled, trained and sent.
