Nurses on the Isle of Man will march through the streets of Douglas next week in protest over pay. The Royal College of Nursing is holding a peaceful protest on Tuesday (18 July). It’s in response to RCN’s rejection of the latest pay offer proposed by Manx Care and the recent strike action postal ballot in which 70 per cent of respondents voted in favour of industrial action.

The Isle of Man Post Office is celebrating it's 50th birthday. In 1973, the organisation obtained postal independence - which allows the post office to design its own stamps and become the 'masters of its own destiny'. A commemorative set of stamps have been specially designed to mark the significant milestone.
