Maximizing the Honeymoon time immediately after the convention is as important as planning for participation in the first place. Take action now before the high fades away.

This can be a difficult conversation but it needs to be had. Make adjustments early on.

If you have worked in something other than a technical field, you will need to be able to explain those jobs in terms of skills you developed. Your goal is to make the job relatable to the interviewer. Find a mentor to help you!

As you prepare for your interview don’t just practice a bunch of questions and answers. Have an idea of how to categorize the questions in relation to the skill they are trying to evaluate.
