Making Friends With The Lord Jesus

Our Lord cured ten lepers who asked him for help. He asked them to report to the priest. They got cured while in transit to see the cleric. Only one, a samaritan, returned to Our Lord to thank him. He wondered where the other nine were. Are we one of them?

This rivalry between God and Money is felt by most of us. We know that we cannot have both as our masters. There needs to be a hierarchy between them. Jesus Christ asks us to put God ahead of money. The end of the Liturgical Year is approaching. The theme of the Last Things is highlighted by the Church in the Gospels of her masses these days. Today we have a steward who has been caught by his master in defrauding him. His masters wants him to prepare to leave him by fixing his affairs. He does so in a crafty way by settling the accounts of those who owe his master.

Since we have been chosen by God to exist in the world and to be His children we need to be more mindful of ourselves. A healthy spirit of self-awareness will go a long way to foster gratitude to God, penitential disposition of our sins and humble smallness in need of help from God to continue in the struggle to reach Heaven.

I speak of the need for supernatural outlook in order to be obedient to seize occasions as opportunities to imitate Our Lord Jesus Christ.
