Today we look at what we believe about the church. How is the church like a family? What does the Bible teach us about being the body of Christ? Today we will learn specific and practical ways we live out God's call to be a church family.

We're going to look at what we believe about eternal life . People, including Christians, believe all kinds of things about what happens after we die, but most of them aren't what we learn from the Bible. Once again, we turn to Jesus' cross, death, and resurrection for all the answers we're going to get, which thankfully are all the answers we need.

Today we look at the doctrine of sin. We will study the story of original sin in the garden and how it shows us the sin of pride and the lesser known sin of hiding . Then we'll learn what Jesus says is our purpose in life and what happens when we wander away from God.

Today we look at the problem of evil . If God is all the things that we believe (loving, just, and powerful) then why do terrible things happen? Today we will see that this is one of the biggest questions the Bible asks, and it asks it over and over again. Instead of an answer, God gives us a person, his son, Jesus Christ. Today we will wrestle with the questions.

Let's look at the doctrines of the Trinity and the Holy Spirit . How does our understanding of the trinity impact our understanding of God? How can it change how we live in relationship to other people? The answer to these is more than we might think.

Today we look at the doctrine of creation . Does believing that God created the world make you a Christian? How does God relate to the world, and to us? Why does it matter?

We begin a new series “ Confirmation for Everyone ” Whether you are just starting to explore Christianity or have been in the pews for 40 years, this will be a time to focus on what it means to be a Christian. This week’s heroes are David and Nathan from the books of 1st and 2nd Samuel. David has one of the most epic life stories recorded in the Bible. He is incredibly talented, but it is his character that makes him a hero. When his character fails, Nathan is there to help him. What should we do when our heroes fall?

This week’s hero is Esther from the book of Esther. Esther's story is unique in the Bible as it has no mention of God. This small book in the Old Testament will help us answer a very big question: What do I do if God seems silent?

This week’s hero is Moses from the book of Exodus. Moses has been the model for champions of the oppressed for thousands of years. We are always looking for the next Moses. But how will we know them when we see them? And what do we do if we're the Egyptians?
