There are two births possible for every human being, physical and spiritual. While thee are similarities, the biggest difference is that spiritual birth is solely the work of God''s Spirit without human effort. All sinners are at the mercy of God's grace!

Fear has to do with punishment. Men fear dying because they reckon they will come face to face with the Creator to give an account of their lives. Their sin creates fear, and rightly so. But if Jesus is their portion by faith, his blood pays for their sin and fear dissipates.

We do not like to face it, but our spiritual survival demands that we must - Liars and Deceivers are found everywhere in the spiritual realm. So we cannot be lazy listeners. We must develop discerning ears. Discernment comes from knowing God’s Word by which all must be judged true or false.

A guilty conscience can have a devastating effect upon our tranquility and peace. Genuine guilt is not identical with guilt feelings. Sin causes real guilt, but forgiveness in Christ clears the conscience. If we do not recognize this, Satan can play on our emotions and make us feel guilty when our sin has been forgiven.

Today we compare the kingdoms of earth against the Kingdom of Heaven. Where should our patriotism be placed, as Christians? How does the monarchy of Christ fair in loyalty to the Uniter States of America?

As Christians, we know so much about the way we ought to live and yet fail miserably to carry out what we know. Today we look at some of the distractions that cause us to be ineffective for Christ.

The Biblical account of Moses’ conception and birth is one of brave faith in God because Pharaoh’s edict demanded that all Hebrew males born should be killed. This the Hebrew midwives refused to do. When Moses was born his mother hid him among the reeds of the Nile. He was discovered, rescued and raised by none other than Pharaoh’s own daughter. God honors obedience to HIS commands.

Because of Adam’s transgression, all of his posterity after him are born with a sin-nature which means that sinning is what we do because sinners is what we are [it’s our nature]. But in Christ, and because of trust in his cross-work our sin-nature is replaced with a godly spiritual nature that no longer sins.

Jesus, Son of God, is the physical manifestation of God. He is identical in nature, knowledge, attributes, and authority to God. To know him is to know God. To obey him is to obey God. To love him is to love God. And whoever disdains Jesus also denigrates God. Let us then focus our eyes on Jesus and grow in grace.

Everyone has a family identity- born into a family or adopted into a family. God’s people are privileged to have both- born of God’s Spirit- thus having the nature of God; Adopted- thus intentionally chosen of God to be a part of his family.

In a world in which so many voices claim to be telling the truth, how do we discern what is truly true? Discernment comes from the Holy Spirit of God , through the objective revelation of the Bible whose content is “God-breathed.” Since God is righteous and holy and cannot lie, his word forms the bedrock for knowing the truth vs. lies and opinions of men!

Today's message demonstrates the power of Jesus' representation of his people, when, by his own sinless life and sacrifice, he willingly gifted his people with his perfect righteousness.
