Made to Parade

The very first bonus episode from the Made to Parade podcast - this episode features Nicola Pierce the author of two books of interest to the marching band scene, Behind the Walls which is about the Siege of Derry and Kings of the Boyne about the Battle of the Boyne.

Episode 7 finds us in conversation with Ewan McPhie from Corby Purple Star Flute Band in England. Ewan is an accomplished flute player as a member of a band and also as member of the Army Cadets Corps of Drums.

Episode 6 finds us in conversation with Derek Moore from the William King Memorial Flute Band from Londonderry. Derek shares his journey and some of the history of one of the premier melody flute bands in Northern Ireland.

One of the highlights of many musicians in marching bands experiences is performing at Tattoo's. These shows attract the top marching band talent from across the world and connect our experience to an international audience. This week Stu Warmington and Maurice Brown share their experiences from performing at Tattoo's across the world.
