Love Notes from God

Five years ago, I said no..I didn’t feel ready. But just a few months later, in the middle of a global pandemic, God said yes. John 2:11 marks the beginning of Jesus’ public miracles. In a quiet moment, His glory was revealed..and belief was born. Sometimes God shows up in the stillness, not the spotlight.

God’s timing is perfect—He saves the best for now. What’s ahead is greater than what’s behind. (John 2:10)

The master of the feast didn’t know a miracle had taken place..but the servants did. Sometimes others will benefit from your obedience without even realizing it was God who showed up. (John 2:9)

The servants obeyed, even without understanding..and the miracle was already happening. Sometimes the breakthrough comes after the step of faith. (John 2:8)

Sometimes God’s instructions won’t make sense..but obedience is the doorway to the miracle. When we trust His timing, His way, and His voice, breakthrough follows. John 2:6–7 reminds us: just do what He says… even if you don’t understand it yet.

Jesus wasn’t dismissing Mary…He was discerning divine timing. Even when we feel ready, God’s timing is perfect. Don’t rush the miracle. Trust the pace of grace. (John 2:4; Isaiah 55:8; Matthew 26:18,27-28)

Before the miracle came, Mary brought the problem to Jesus. When we do the same, we open the door to divine direction. Big or small—bring it to Him first. (John 2:3)

Jesus was invited to the wedding at Cana. When we invite Him into every area of our lives, He shows up with purpose and power. (John 2:1,2)

Jesus reveals He is the true ladder between heaven and earth. Just as Jacob saw in his dream, He is our connection to God and the promises of heaven today. (John 1:51; Genesis 28:12)

Jesus told Nathanael he would see greater things – and that promise is for us too. God has amazing things ahead for those who believe. (John 1:50)

Nathanael declared Jesus as the Son of God and King of Israel. Just like the crowds who shouted “Hosanna!” in John 12:13, we too can boldly proclaim Him as our King today. (John 1:49)

Jesus saw Nathanael coming and revealed He already knew him. Today, remember: Jesus sees you, knows you, and loves you deeply. (John 1:47,48; Romans 9:4,6)

Nathanael doubted Jesus because of where He came from, but Philip simply said, “Come and see.” We can invite others to know Jesus for themselves. (John 1:45;46)

In today’s Love Note, Jesus gives a direct invitation to Philip: “Follow Me.” Philip doesn’t hesitate; he goes and brings Nathanael. When Jesus calls, it’s not just for us..it’s so others will come to know Him too. (John1:43-44)

In today’s episode, we dive into John 1:42 and Matthew 16:18, where Jesus calls Simon by his new name, Peter—the Rock. God sees beyond who you are right now and calls out who you’re created to be. Let this truth transform how you see yourself today.

Andrew found the Messiah and couldn’t keep it to himself..he had to share it with his brother. When Jesus changes our lives, His goodness is too good to keep to ourselves. (John 1:40,41)

Today’s love note takes us into John 1:39 with a fun twist – a peek into Kristin’s birthday party and how her friends really know her because they spend time with her. Just like the disciples stayed with Jesus to know Him deeply, we’re invited to come, see, and truly know who He is beyond what others say.

Jesus invites us to come and see, to sit with Him and dwell with Him. It’s an invitation that is life-changing and mind-renewing. In John 1:39, they wanted to see where He was staying. They wanted to follow Him and see how He lived.

When Jesus asked, “What do you seek?” it wasn’t just for them—it’s for us too. This episode is a heart check, an invitation to reflect on what we’re truly pursuing in this season: position, approval, peace, purpose, or Him. (John 1:38)

This Pocket Proverb is a humble prayer for balance. The writer asks God to keep lies far away and to give neither poverty nor riches—just daily bread. It’s a heart check about contentment, integrity, and dependence on God. (Proverbs 30:7-9)
