The perfected mind is the sanctified mind. Without sanctification the church is not built. If the church does not exist the means of sanctification do not exist. If you r church is not holy it is unable to sanctify you. If you are not sanctified, you have not been made holy, or perfected in the eyes of God.

But the Epicurean Paradox is not really about God and who He is, it points to the lack of obedience.
