Locals Jr., Bedtime Stories

We have two stories tonight, read by Danielle Ross of Millville and Steve Bevans of Danville. One is something of a fable and the other fabulist.

What happens when you are an important part of two families that are both different and alike? The character in this book finds out.

Emily Kahn, parent to two kids and a dog, social worker at the Bloomsburg Library and lover of books, reads a story about small girl with a big personality. Carl Chimi used to teach business at CUP, now he is in the business of reading to his granddaughter. Here is one of her favorites.

One of the early BTE members returns to read a very small ghost story and Rand gets through his with a little help from his friends.

This episode is a good, old American ghost story. It has an old, decayed mansion in a swamp, two escaped prisoners and creaking stairs. And remember, a ghost story is all about the journey. Enjoy.

How far would you go for "I'll pay you extra if..."? The tailor in this story goes pretty far. 

This story has been passed down from before Pennsylvania was Pennsylvania. Treachery and guilt, maybe those are also ghosts that haunt. This local lore is read by Laurie McCants.

Tonight’s episode again has two stories. The firstis probably the most beloved bedtime story in the English language and it will be read by Jon White-Spunner.  Our second story is read by Susan Schwartz. Susan is a reporter, early music musician and member of Bloomsburg’s Beth Israel Synagogue. Stories can be both fun and educational. This one is both.
