The spiritual weight of unconfessed sin is heavy and brings conviction. The good news about conviction is that it means the Holy Spirit is working on us. There is joy in forgiveness from God, and there is joy in obedience to God.

There is no neutral when it comes to your spiritual walk. It's either toward God or away from God. Your response to things in your life is a choice, not a coin toss.

Forgiveness is a command, not a suggestion. But we all know how hard it can be to forgive someone who has hurt us. Thankfully, God is in charge, not us. The proper view of God makes the forgiveness of others possible.

Worry and the pursuit of more cannot add a single moment to your life. God cares for the birds and flowers and is in control of their provisions. You are WAY more valuable than birds and flowers to God. Pursue God first and trust His provision and protection.

The power of sin is broken, but the pressure to sin is still there. What Jesus did on the cross is experienced daily through the Holy Spirit's leading in your life.

As we wrap up our summer chasing Paul through his ministry in Acts, we can see that the story isn't really about Paul. It's about the spreading of the Gospel. And the story doesn't end with Paul.

People's response to your faith in Jesus is not your responsibility. We need to speak the truth, pray specific prayers for specific people, and let God change their hearts.

Even in difficulty, Paul followed the Lord, did the right thing, and knew the Lord was with him. What would you do if you were convinced that the Lord was with you no matter what?

The message of Jesus is powerful and changes people. It's not rhetoric or storytelling. It's life-changing! Don't allow your faith to become stale. Seek fresh faith daily.

Paul continued to trust God and know He was in control even when the world around him seemed to be telling him differently. Paul was clear and confident about his faith in God.

When Paul visited Timothy's town, he heard of Timothy's reputation and offered him a chance to be part of the mission. Your reputation could lead to an invitation that leads to your vocation.

Paul's first missionary journey wasn't glamorous, with hotels and miracles each day. Somedays were difficult, and he had to lean into God's guidance and find some grit to push through. We can learn about getting through tough seasons from Paul's first mission.

We live in a broken world, but when we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can trust that God's plan will prevail.

No prayer is too small or too big, either! We often err on the small side because it fits into our logical human minds. Peter and John asked for great boldness, God's healing power, miracles, and wonders!

  Just like you know you're in a candy store by the sweet smell and the colorful treats on the shelves around you, there should be evidence that God is in your life.

  Most of us love knowing "the why" behind what happened. These days we can find a documentary to explain the details of almost anything. But what if God wants to do the unexplainable in your life, church, and community?

In Jesus' final moments on Earth, He left the disciples with an assignment to spread the good news to the ends of the earth. He also told them they wouldn't have to do it alone. As believers, we have the same assignment daily, and we aren't alone.

We know Easter was a few days ago, and the chocolate bunnies are long gone, but Jesus' resurrection should be life-changing on a daily basis. What is your day-to-day response to the reality of the resurrection?
