When fear enters our life it is not an issue. When it becomes an issue is when it is incorrectly dealt with. As we go through the sermon today we will hear how God wants us to handle our fear in a time of Panic in our nation.

Nobody knows when Jesus is coming back. Let's make sure we are prepared, living in holiness and godliness.

In this section peter takes the time to remind us to always remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandments of the Lord. Peter warns us that scoffers will come with scoffing, following their own sinful desires and we must be aware.

Those who are enslaved to sin cannot help to free you from it. In this selection of verses Peter takes time to caution us about false prophets. Additionally he tells us the consequences we as Christians will face if we follow false prophets and fall away from our faith.

Truth is not a personal choice, it has nothing to do with opinion. In this selection of verses we see a warning against false prophets. Additionally we see several examples of Gods mercy and rescue towards the righteous, and his punishment towards those who choose not to follow him.

In our spiritual walk we will always experience hills and valleys. Today as we walk through verses in 1 Kings we will be taking a look at the hills and valleys faced by Elijah. We will see through the scripture how even through Elijah's worst times the Lord always provides.

Before you were born again you were a slave to sin. In this section of verses Peter describes to us how the Christian experience is defined by the Word of God. peter writes to remind us of the truths that have been established and the authority behind them.

Salvation is about a change of lifestyle and actions. As we walk through the first several verses of 2 Peter we will gain insight from Peter about what is expected of us as followers of Christ.

Righteousness was never the result or works or performance. Even from the time of Abraham, righteousness was the result of faith.

The truth is we are at war and it is time to fight. We need to stand firm on the promises of God and declare them in our lives.
