When the Servant comes, He will expand the sons of Zion beyond its current borders, bringing joy, peace, and hope with Him. These themes form the backdrop for much of the teaching in the New Testament.

God's unexpected plan for His Servant continues to be revealed. This Messiah/Redeemer/Ruler will only get His "spoils" after giving Himself as a guilt offering for sinners. Jesus was promised prosperity and exaltation, but first, suffering and humiliation. In this way, salvation would come to the nations. But what about the Jews? Would they believe the prophecies given to them centuries earlier?

The cross, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus...they're all right there in Isaiah. Jesus rebuked His disciples for not seeing it. Let's not make the same mistake.   Here is the G. A.
