In Christ, we are declared righteous before God by His gracious activity and our response of faith; not our good works or religious efforts. Having made his case for “justification by faith,” Paul now lists a few of the benefits of the Christian faith – peace, grace, joy, God’s love, the help of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and salvation/reconciliation. 

As Paul continues his letter to the Roman believers, he emphasizes that under grace, believers are alive to God, righteousness, and eternal life.  Under grace, believers count themselves dead to sin and alive to God. Believers sow to righteousness and reap a harvest of life. “In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” ~ Romans 6:11

Abraham against all hope in hope believed in the God of the impossible. Abraham stands as a model of faith for us today because he held onto the promises of god even when circumstances suggested that their fulfillment was humanly impossible. Romans 4:18-25

“I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes .” (Romans 1:16). Have you trusted Jesus for salvation?  Paul returns again and again to this main message. 

The Gospel Truth Series on the book of Romans continues with a focus on heart renewal and transformation. The Gospel of Jesus Christ contains the power of God to save and to transform. The goal of the gospel is to regenerate the heart and change the individual into the likeness of Jesus Christ. Repentance unlocks the miracle of transformation.

Like a lawyer, Paul lays out the case for the gospel. “There is none righteous, not even one.” (3:10) “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (3:23).  Paul’s message is clear, under God’s moral law, we all stand condemned.  The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17), for example, reveal our disobedience, sinfulness, and condemnation.

Not Ashamed focuses on the them of the book of Romans in Romans 1:16-17. Paul is not ashamed of Jesus--his life and his message. Paul declares that Jesus is the power of God at work in the world today to change lives, make things right, and transform our world.

Nehemiah wrote, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.”  God wants your life to be filled with joy and gladness! Your relationship with God is the source of your spiritual joy!  Walk in the light, enjoy Christian fellowship, and live a life of Joy!

This message focuses on the life of Peter in Luke 5 and John 21.  Both episodes include a miraculous catch of fish that was designed by Jesus to get Peter’s attention. The life of Peter reminds us that Jesus calls complex, broken people and that walking with Jesus requires a lifetime of growth and change. A Series on the importance of fruitful ministry in the body of Christ.  Healthy churches grow and growing churches make room for everyone in the body of Christ to serve, lead, and minister. If you are abiding in Christ and leaning on the Spirit, God will produce fruit in you and through you. John 15:16  

We are on mission with Jesus by knowing God. Let’s spend 2024 getting to know God better by seeking him, repenting of our sin, believing in the promises of God, abiding in the word, and not resisting the Holy Spirit. Seeking God results in knowing God—His word, His ways, and His Will!

The health of any church depends on the number of ministers and ministries functioning in the church. A key question for the local church is “how many active ministry leaders and ministries do we have functioning in our church?”, not "How many meetings, programs or Bible studies do we conduct?" Sending capacity is always more important than seating capacity.  Ephesians 4:11-16

1.   As followers of Christ, we have been chosen to flourish – to be fruitful and multiply; to be fruitful in serving God and others.  In Christ, we have been given both the message and ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Ministry is helping, serving, and leading! Ministry is planting seeds in the kingdom of God (Galatians 6:7-8)! Ministry is “storing up treasure in heaven.” (Mt 6:19-21).
