How do we as the people of God respond when people treat us unfairly?

As long as we believe that too much grace leads to license, we will always embrace a very average, ordinary grace. But when we embrace this full, rigorous, wondrous, amazing theology of grace, we realize it’s all Jesus. It’s not based on performance at all.

"It was for freedom that Christ set you free." You have to believe that. You have to fight for that and not only on your best days but especially on your worst days when you mess up, when you sin, when you offend God.

Religion is nothing more than just inserting God into a performance-based value system and, no matter how good you are, you’ll never be good enough. The system simply doesn’t allow for your soul to find rest.

It is possible to discipline yourself every day to choose not to have a day defined by worry and anxiety and fear, and to say, “I will trust God with that which I cannot control or change so that I am free to focus every day on the things that matter because life is just too precious and short to waste one single day."

Is your Christian life defined more by an internal passionate love relationship with Christ or an external standard motivated by some sense of obligation to God for saving you?

There is no such thing as a Christian that’s more than or less than. There’s no one more righteous; there’s no one more accepted; there’s no one more loved. We stand equal before God because it’s not based on performance—it’s promise! You are just as loved, just as righteous, just as accepted, just as celebrated because of the radical grace of God.

Grace and Law are not compatible systems. Either it is belief by faith, all grace, or it's salvation by works, but it can't be both.

It is the life of Christ in us that empowers us to live in a way we never could have lived before.

When we understand the ramifications of grace alone, we flee into the presence of Jesus. Those are the moments when we need Him the most, and we are reminded that He loves us and accepts us and sees us through eyes of grace.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; nobody comes to the Father but through Me". Salvation is a gift of His grace, no religious works required.

The distortion of the Gospel is typically not denying the facts of the Gospel, but rather adding human works to the finished work of Christ on the cross - which eradicates the concept of grace.
