Life Around "The Fire"

Send us Fan Mail We've all had, and some of us may still have, some rather hard questions for God about your life and/or life in general. Jesus is accustomed to addressing hard questions. He's not intimidated by any of them. In fact, He actually addresses them with a heart of love. God literally answers your questions. If you ask Him and allow Him to give you spiritual eyes and ears to s...

Send us Fan Mail We thank God for the inroads we see in delivering men, women, and children from the bondage and horror of human trafficking and the sex slave industry. It was approximately 1 1/2 years ago we shared an entire episode on the need for prayer in this area (We will re-broadcast that episode for all of you later today). God is answering our prayers. The movie, "Sound of Freedom&qu...

Send us Fan Mail Jesus teaches us how to love and serve God and people while using things instead of using God and people to love and serve more things. A recipe is only as good as it's ingredients. Truth is True is long as it's Truth. Cookies are only as tasty as their true recipe. The True Recipe is experienced in the Taste! Jesus plus or Jesus minus isn't the True Jesus! Support...

Send us Fan Mail The same sun that melts butter hardens clay. The Jesus that made a woman with her adulterous, checkered past walk away full of joy and freedom in her heart is the same Jesus that caused the religious scholars and Pharisees to seethe with jealousy and murder toward Him in their hearts. Jesus has a unique Way of showing up right on time even if it seems early or sometimes late to us...

Kronos = A period of time Kairos = A specific moment in time. Yeshua/Jesus was a born at a Kairos moment in a Kronos of time. Jesus was born at the exact moment in a set time that God had Sovereignly planned. Just like today... GOD'S TIMING I...

This podcast episode is a brief overview of how we, at Life Around "The Fire", got to where we are today. Send us Fan Mail The world that we live in can be incedibly beautiful as well as it being a major pain to contend with these days. Life, alone, can literally throw our timing off. Or, we can get stuck in the mode of putting our heads down and just work, work, work (or play, play, play). It's important for all of us to have a rythm to life: Work, Rest, Worship, & Play. Whether we're o...

Send us Fan Mail It doesn't matter how old or young you are, you've doubted something about God at least once in your life. I have said and done some hurtful things in my times of doubt and discouragement. I've accused God of being mean, cruel, and neglectful. I've cursed His name out loud in my pain and anger. I've doubted His very existance and denied ever knowing anythi...

Send us Fan Mail Sometimes miracles can be those things that both did and didn't happen. Like, "I can't find my stupid car keys."  Then, you finally found them 10 minutes later. As you turned on your car and tuned into your favorite radio station, you heard the terrible news... "The Great Bridge Collapse. Had you found them 10 minutes earlier you would have been involved i...

Send us Fan Mail There are times when we've all fallen short of finishing what we started. I've done it at least once when I've tried repairing my automobiles. Also, even though I don't really like it, hard times happen in each of our lives; at least once. There are important truths found in the Life of Jesus that are helpful for us all who are dealing with or at least know wha...

Send us Fan Mail Timing is everything. If the "timing" of our car is off the car doesn't function properly. The same goes for our lives. Living  our lives according to our own agenda  is like driving a car that isn't "on time". Our timing is off. God keeps perfect time. When Jesus shows up... He is right on time! When we follow Him, we're in perfect timing.  Supp...

Send us Fan Mail Have you ever been stuck in a job you are good at but are not challenged to grow or develop into anything or anyone different? It known as, "Jellyfishing". The SSDD lifestyle. Jesus calls us from those places into a whole new way of living life. It's known as being born-again as a citizen of the Kingdom of God! Jesus now says, "Flollow me, and I will make you.....

Send us Fan Mail What's another word for being preoccupied with becoming and staying  financially wealthy? Greed. Gorden Gekko, in 1987, said, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good." Many culture's including our very own actually elevate the need for greed. Often, people who aren't wealthy (and greedy) are sneered at and joked about as being suckers and simpletons. Pe...

Send us Fan Mail I've had  a fantasy view of life if everyone in it would have just done what I imagined most everything would have been great. The fantasy I invented and believed would have been the best reality for me and others to live in. If only everyone (including God) would have just seen things my way. But then... But then you showed up. But then a real "idiot" showed up. Bu...

Send us Fan Mail If you have experienced or know someone who has experienced serious relationship issues, this is a pretty good podcast episode to tune into. To say that everything is just "Fine" even though it's far from being "Fine", is like us saying we that love the new clothes the emporer is wearing, even though he's naked. To finally get real help begins by us a...

Send us Fan Mail Entrapment, Intimidation, Misconceptions, Divorce, Adultery, & Children. These are just a few of the exciting and uplifting topics we will be looking at in this podcast episode. In fact, this might be a good time to simply  skip this episode and wait until episode 21. For those of you who are brave enough to look at some of this stuff we're convinced the TRUTH makes us al...

Send us Fan Mail When I was a young child I used to think that we all basically thought the same way and saw the world the same way. Then life began revealing more of itself to me. The truth and reality of differences began taking place in my mind. It didn't take too, long to see and understand that we are all really different with  only a few similarities. At first it was troubling until I h...

Send us Fan Mail We are living in a time when world events are becoming more intense... much like the labor pains a woman feels just before finally giving birth to her new born child. The thing about life is it feels so so daily and yet at the same time so amazingly real.
