Life After Child Loss: A Parent's Grief

It's difficult to trust God again after or when your child dies, plain and simple. We often feel like He'll be mad at us or "strike us down" because we're grieving and we're having a natural emotion or reaction to what we are facing.

Everything that happens and that you do after your child dies, is a part of the process.

This episode is just what the title says, Just Grieve. No matter where you are or what you are doing, when it comes just grieve without excuses or explanation.

This episode I share with you a few of the dreams I was granted to see my son and sometimes talk with him, hold him and hear his voice. I also share the revelation behind them.

There is no right or wrong way for you to grieve and we should not allow people to tell us how to do it.

There will be times where, emotionally, you can't do or be what people or even you may expect you to be or do. You're emotionally unavailable.

We need to stop telling ourselves and others to be strong when experiencing grief.

Many of us don't feel that we will make it through, what is a day to honor us as Mothers, because we are grieving. I'm here to tell you, You Made It Through!

Realizing and understanding that you have purpose beyond the death of your child.

In this episode we go over the Stages of Grief. We will go through these stages multiple times in no particular order. Grief is difficult and once we recognize the stages it makes it somewhat easier to direct our emotions at that moment.

Many times we hide our grief when we should express it. If you’re having a hard time, admit it and grieve and know that it's ok!

Special Guest Ms. Allanna Henton joins me in a conversation about youth and teen suicide and mental health. I know this is different from what my listeners are used to. Yet, just as the parent's of the children whom have committed suicide, we owe it to them to explore and open the door for conversation about suicide and their mental health.
